From Old Barns to Beautiful Rustic Gites
The superbly renovated gites at Bois Lavergne, had been used as traditional farm buildings, going back generations.
When the British owners first saw the three building at Bois Lavergne, they immediately realized what a wonderful holiday destination it would be for families with children, couples and groups of friends wishing for an idyllic setting, but with access to many interesting activities and historic sites, such as the Lascaux caves. They knew that holidaymakers would love the rustic appeal of the gites, the picturesque landscape and the friendliness of the villagers. As they looked around, they saw from the quiet hillside wonderful views of the surrounding hamlets, the timeless woodland, filled with wild flowers and the serene country lanes, perfect for strolls.
The gites have now been totally renovated, using modern appliances, fixtures and fittings.Originally, all modern services had to be laid on to the site, before work could commence in earnest to restore the buildings. The gites have been given an additional floor, new roofs, new windows and large entrance doors. The interiors have been designed with comfort and luxury in mind. Now, a large group of 14+ people can stay together at the gites, or smaller groups can rent whichever of the gites they prefer. Chanterelle can sleep 6, and the other two gites 4.
